For over 55 years, the Educational Opportunity Program at Sonoma State University has empowered historically low-income and educationally disadvantaged students with the support and resources needed to thrive in college and break the cycle of poverty.
All of our students are first-generation college students, and many are the first in their families to pursue higher education. These resilient individuals are change-makers in their communities and serve as inspiring role models for youth from similar backgrounds.
